You know how lil wayne has that line in the drake song “I walk in the club, fuck err’body”. I feel the same about lana del rays record. I like it a lot.

I realize a lot of people focus on her SNL performance which was pretty bad - but why not give her the benefit of doubt? She has had decent performances in front of audiences before:

In response to her SNL performance, I was recently listening to NPR and the program featured a comedian who discussed his first big break which was on the tonight show - and stated how nervous he was to perform. He’s played in many clubs before but the tonight show was different, in part because of the massive audience. His daughter was fighting cancer again, and he stated how the second time he performed on the tonight show he had no idea how he got through it, he couldn’t even remember what he said but people laughed so he figured he was successful. I realize my choice of comparison is quite exaggerated for the point I’m trying to make, but I’m just saying you never know the whole story of what goes on beyond the curtain until that person makes it public. Maybe it was just her nerves. I mean I practically wet my pants when I give presentations in school I can only imagine what it would feel like to preform on a television show.
